What resolution is needed for images that I want to upload?

The minimum side length of your image must be 800 pixel at the resolution of 150 dpi. The image for upload should be JPEG-compressed, with a file size of no more than 4 MB.

What about the requirements to my browser?

For optimal display of our website, we recommend MSIE version 7.0 or higher or Firefox version 3.0 or higher. Acceptance of cookies and JavaScript must be activated. Flash-Plugin must be installed and activated. Download: http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/

Do I lose my rights(copy right) to images that I upload online on Photoglobe?

Rights to images remain with the image author – more concretely, these rights remain with you. However, with the upload you agree to the use of your images within the community initiative the “World’s largest Photoglobe”.

Comments that I included with my images are gone. Did you delete them?

We did not delete any comments. Please make sure that your access data are not used by third parties. We recommend that you change your access data.

Comments that infringe the conditions of use of Photoglobe were posted regarding my image/s (for example, insults, advertising etc). What can I do about this

Why is the copyright notice © Photoglobus automatically put on every uploaded image?

To enhance safety for image authors – because any user could take images from www.photoglobus.prophoto-online.de and post them, for example, on Facebook.

Will the copyright notice © Photoglobus still be visible on printed images for the Photoglobe at photokina?

This copyright notice will not be visible on printed images for the Photoglobe, because this would impair the effect of images.

Can I protect my images with a watermark?

It is up to you to additionally protect your images with a watermark. But you should make sure that the watermark does not dominate images so that they lose their effect.

I have created my account but I cannot upload my images. Why not?

After creating your account, you will receive an email with an activation link. As the next step, you need to call up this link which activates your account. This enables the upload of images.

I have not received the activation email?

Please check if our activation email ended up in your spam folder.
